Day 51 (Sydney)

As ever we didn't try to do all the tourist things - I guess we had done most of them on previous visits - but we did manage to pack in a few things, in between bars and cafes!

Gareth and I had to have a sharpener in Sydney's oldest pub - of course!

We managed a ferry trip out to Manly for lunch and got some spectacular views of the bridge and the opera house from the boat.

At dusk we went up the Sydney Tower to see the sun go down - which was a great plan until we got behind a party of 50 screaming 8 your olds. Yeah, you can imagine the rest.

And my advice to the Sydney Tower (freely given, I expect nothing in return) is ditch the cheesy 3D film, before the ascent of the tower. Its rubbish and irrelevant. But I do accept the view from the top is pretty good - just a shame the sun had just dipped below the horizon by the time we got up there - pesky children!

Finished the day with a superb steak dinner (not Nareesa obviously) and few glasses of good Aussie wine.

Got too many pictures for a blog page so will have to create a gallery page...
