The Self-Quarantine Motorbike Tour of GB - just 2 idiots, day 4

Where are we? Inverness

Where should we be? Santa Fe, New Mexico - or at least as far away from Denver as possible - it was 35ºC yesterday, 5ºC today! How can that happen?

Miles today: 196

Miles total: 792

200 miles across the Cairngorms today, and perhaps not surprisingly we are both tired - not so much from the miles but having to concentrate as all the young bikers zoomed past us, aiming presumably to do 300 miles in a day! Made us feel old - but sensible! Maybe not such a bad thing.

Roads wise perhaps even more spectacular than yesterday, but not so quiet, as it is on ever bikers must do list. Wonder if the NC 500 will be similar?

Anyway, we finally got to Inverness at about 6pm with stops in Braemar, any number of hill top view points, and the outside of Cawdor Castle (where Duncan was murdered?) - nice gardens but castle closed for Covid, sadly.

Tomorrow we will detour for Urquhart Castle before heading up to John o Groats and the North coast finally. Should just about have thousand miles on the clock by then.

Some pictures of the day, they pretty much speak for themselves...

Through Glenshee

Hmm, 2 idiots...

Actually, leaving Perth & Kinross

Arty

Not so arty

Maybe a bit artier?

Well, just wow, what a road!

And again, wow!

Cawdor Castle

Cawdor Castle - arty and without the idiots

All for now, North Coast tomorrow.
